Tropical Storm Dindo has exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) as of Monday morning, as reported by the state weather bureau, PAGASA.
In its 11 a.m. bulletin, PAGASA disclosed that Dindo was located 670 kilometers northeast of Itbayat, Batanes. The storm was characterized by maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour near its center, with gusts peaking at 80 kilometers per hour. PAGASA noted that Dindo was moving slowly in a northeastward direction.
PAGASA indicated that Dindo is not expected to have a direct impact on the weather conditions in the country within the forecast period. However, the combination of Dindo and the Southwest Monsoon, or Habagat, will result in moderate seas of up to 2.0 meters over the coastal waters of Extreme Northern Luzon.
The weather bureau advised mariners of motor bancas and similarly sized vessels to exercise caution when venturing out to sea and, if possible, to avoid navigating in these conditions, particularly if they are inexperienced or operating ill-equipped vessels.
According to PAGASA, Dindo is anticipated to continue its movement over the East China Sea and Yellow Sea, eventually heading towards the Korean Peninsula over the next three days. PAGASA added that Dindo is expected to remain a tropical storm within the forecast period.
